SIL roster of care tool
Start from a roster to see the hours and the weekly and yearly SIL cost, or start from a budget to see what it covers — worked out the same way as the NDIA's roster of care spreadsheet. Nothing you enter is stored.

How the figures are worked out
The house
You describe the house: where it is, who lives there (as letters, never names) and how many staff can be on at once.Shifts
You add shifts: the days, start and end, how many staff, and whether staff are awake, asleep on site or awake overnight. The grid
The tool places every half hour on the NDIA roster of care grid and sorts it into the sheet's bands: weekday daytime, weekday evening, Saturday, Sunday, sleepover and active overnight, for each support ratio. The price
Each band is priced at the 2026-27 NDIS price limit for the price level and region, exactly as the sheet's Step 3 does, giving a weekly and an annual (52-week) estimate per resident.
Every price comes from the NDIA's published schedule, effective 1 July 2026. The arithmetic is tested against ten rosters recalculated in the NDIA spreadsheet, to the cent.
What this tool doesn't do
- It doesn't know your house or your residents. It only knows what you type in.
- It isn't the NDIA's roster of care template, and using it doesn't replace whatever the NDIA asks a provider for. It works the figures out the same way.
- It doesn't store anything. Refreshing the page clears it. Use Print or save as PDF to keep a copy.
- It isn't a quote, an approval or advice from the NDIA. Price limits are maximums; a provider may charge less.
- No names, NDIS numbers or addresses — a postcode only
- Nothing stored or sent
