Your results

Enter the plan dates, the funding and at least one support. Results appear here as you go.

Prices from the NDIS Pricing Schedule 2026-27 (dataset effective 1 July 2026). This is a planning estimate, not advice from the NDIA, a plan manager or a provider.

NDIS prices can change during the year. The Fair Work Commission's award changes start on 1 December 2026, and new pricing arrangements are expected from 1 January 2027. Check current prices with your plan manager or the NDIA before relying on an estimate. Dataset last checked: 2 October 2026

The planner doesn’t ask for names, NDIS numbers or dates of birth, and nothing you enter is stored.

Who this is for

Support coordinators checking whether a plan will last, and what to change if it won't. Families and participants can use it too; nothing here needs an NDIS acronym to make sense. It works for plans that release funding in instalments as well as plans funded up front.

How the figures are worked out

  1. You enter the plan dates and the funding you have: either the remaining balance, or the total and what's been spent.
  2. You add the supports from the NDIS Pricing Schedule 2026-27. Weekday, evening, weekend and public-holiday rates are built in; you don't add them separately.
  3. The planner costs each support on the days it actually happens between today and the plan end, and compares that with the funding, instalment by instalment where the plan has them.
  4. It tells you when the funding is likely to run out, what could be spent each week to make it last, and what one change would do.

Every price comes from the NDIA's published schedule and every calculation is tested against worked examples. Prices in the dataset are effective 1 July 2026.

What this planner doesn't do

  • It doesn't know your plan. It only knows what you type in.
  • It doesn't include claims a provider hasn't sent yet. Your balance from the portal or plan manager may be higher than what's really left.
  • It doesn't separate the plan into budget categories (Core, Capacity Building, Capital). It treats the funding you enter as one amount.
  • It doesn't store anything. Refreshing the page clears it. Use Print or save as PDF to keep a copy.
  • It isn't advice from the NDIA, a plan manager or a provider, and it isn't an approval.

Questions

Is this an official NDIS tool?

No. It's a free planning tool from Careable, a registered NDIS provider. Your NDIS plan, the NDIA and your plan manager are the official sources. Use this to plan, then check the figures with them.

Where do I find the plan dates and funding?

The plan dates are on the NDIS plan itself. For the funding, use the latest figure from the my NDIS portal or the plan manager's statement. If you have the balance that's left, enter that. If you only have the total and what's been spent, choose the second option instead.

What's a funding period?

Many plans release the funding in instalments, called funding periods. Each one is the part of the budget available for this part of the plan. Money not spent in one period carries into the next period of the same plan. It doesn't carry over into a new plan.

Why does it ask for a support's time of day?

NDIS price limits are different on weekdays, weekday evenings, Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays and overnight. A price limit is the maximum NDIS price for that item; a provider may charge less. Choose when the support happens and the planner uses the right limit.

A support I need isn't priced. What do I do?

Some supports, including supported independent living and sleepovers, aren't priced in this planner, and the search marks them. Choose one and it becomes a custom cost. Enter the amount from the quote, or your own figure, and how often it happens.

A message mentions a support number. Which row is that?

The planner numbers all rows together, supports and custom costs alike. The number is what matters: "support 2" means the row numbered 2. Rows that aren't finished yet don't get a number.

Can I save or share it?

Use Print or save as PDF under the results. There are two versions: a one-page summary for families and a longer attachment for support coordinators. Nothing is stored, so print or save a copy before you close the page.

Where do the prices come from?

From the NDIS Pricing Schedule 2026-27. The prices loaded here are effective from 1 July 2026 and were last checked on 2 October 2026.

Who made this and why?

Careable is a registered NDIS provider in Melbourne's north-east. We built this for the support coordinators we work with, and anyone is welcome to use it. It doesn't ask who you are and it doesn't send us anything.
